Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Designer

Job Description

· You are responsible for engineering and design work for Instrumentation of industrial projects in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry (basic and detail engineering).

· You will work together with the lead E&I engineer of the project.

· You will detail design, electrical low voltage, instrumentation and automation installations

· You elaborate design strategies.

· You manage also other E&I designers and draftsman in the detailed design of Instrument Engineering Works such as: Block Diagrams, Loop Wiring Diagrams, Hook up drawings, Plot plan and Routing Cable Layout of Instrumentation, Instrument Interlock Diagram…etc.

· You take care of the interface with the other disciplines within the project team. (Electrical, Civil, Piping, Process, Mechanical, ...)

Job Requirement

1.      YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·       Experienced Instrument Designer with experience in industrial Instrumentation, particularly in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

·       Detail design specifically:

o   Reading and understand P&IDs

o   understanding all types of Field Instruments and Control Valve datasheets

o   Creation of E&I installation block diagrams

o   Preparing Instrument Schedule and I/O lists

o   Preparing Instrument Power and Air consumer lists

o   Detailed design and drawing works with preparing of all related documents (Control panel layouts, terminal strips, PLC wiring diagrams, Bill of material, cable schedule, ...) for:

-       Electrical low voltage panels

-       Instrumentation and automation control panels

o   Design of instrument and instrument air hook-ups with bill of material.

o   Hardware instrument loop design

o   PLC/DCS and marshalling hardware panel design with terminal strips and complete material lists

o   Design and drawing of automation PLC network architecture; Profibus and Profinet

o   Specification of Field Instrument and Control Panel and preparing bill of material (junction Boxes, Cable Glands, Tubing, terminals, ...)

o   ATEX Exi calculations

o   Design and drawing of field instrument layouts (cable trays, earthing, Control rooms footprints, ...)

o   3D design for cable trays and panel locations

o   Knowledge of design cf. Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)

o   Knowledge of design cf. Performance Level (PL) for emergency stops

o   Preparing and composing of complete project files with all lists and drawings

o   Execution of As Built works with modification of all related documents

·       You enjoy working in a team on projects in various industrial sectors

·       You have knowledge of relevant legislation (AREI, ATEX, SIL, PED, etc).

·       Good knowledge of English is a necessity.

·       Software:

o   Good knowledge of AutoCAD is necessary

o   Design software knowledge:

-       SPI

-       Navis work

-       E-plan and Elecdes.
