- Manage the tooling department which responsible to produce new tooling, tooling modification, maintenance, and repair.
- Make sure the team can meet the tooling schedule.
- Make sure the team work according to the workflow required.
- Monitor the performance and provide report of the tooling workshop like machine utilization, scrap, failure, expense, etc…
- Support tooling trials and process validation and qualification;
- Build a strong, motivated tooling team capable of consistently delivering high quality output against aggressive production targets;
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related major. At least 5years experience in Plastic Injection Mold manufacturing and managing Tooling Workshop is required;
* Candidate with less experience may consider as Tooling Supervisor.
- Advanced knowledge of tooling;
- Able to read and comprehend mold/part drawings and dimensions;
- Ability to interpret dimensional data and propose/execute corrective actions;
- Understanding of safety and equipment procedures;
- Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbal and written communication;
- Analytic problem solving.
