Cuu Long Joint Operating Company was established in 1998 to operate the Petroleum Exploration & Production Activities under the Petroleum Contract for Block 15.1 offshore Vietnam signed by the Vietnam Parties (PV, PVEP) and Foreign Parties (ConocoPhillips, KNOC, SK, Geopetrol). With four great discoveries: First is Su Tu Den (Black Lion) Oil Field in August 2001, second is Su Tu Vang (Golden Lion) Oil Field Discovery in October 2001, third is Su Tu Trang (White Lion) Gas-Condensate Field in November 2003 and fourth is Su Tu Nau (Brown) Lion Oil Field in August 2005; Cuu Long Joint Operating Company is now undertaking the production of Su Tu Den and Su Tu Vang Oil Fields, appraisals of Su Tu Trang Gas-Condensate and Su Tu Nau Oil Fields.
