The Drilling Division, founded in July 2007, marked the emergence of PV Drilling Corporation as another drilling contractor in the Market. Not long after its establishment, September 2007 saw the first expansion of its services overseas. The Division, whose office is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is directly operating the growing fleet of new-built offshore rigs. The first rig “PV DRILLING I”, which is a jack-up Keppel Fels Mode V, B class, started its first operation offshore Vietnam for Hoang Long-Hoan Vu Joint Operating Company after leaving the Keppel Fels shipyard in March 2007. The MODU soon, not as commonly anticipated, gained its stable and safe operation after a short starting period. The milestone of 365 days without LTI was achieved after that with appreciated compliments from the Client. There are two jack-up rigs currently under construction in Keppel Fels shipyard which are projected to be delivered in 2009.
