134886 - Project Safety Manager (6-8 months) - Energy

RGF's Client - an electricity company - is looking for a Project Safety Manager (6-8 months) to ensure comprehensive health, safety, and environmental protection throughout the thermal power plant restoration project by implementing robust HSE management systems, overseeing high-risk operations, and maintaining disciplined safety controls.

• Working Location: Nghi Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province
• Monthly Salary: Negotiable
• Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the project HSE Management Plan and risk register.
• Oversee high-risk industrial demolition and removal of fire-damaged structures and equipment.
• Establish and enforce fire prevention, hot-work, fire-watch and post-work monitoring arrangements.
• Review of contractor risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans and permit-to-work documentation.
• Oversee safety arrangements for GGAH (Gas - Gas air heart) installation, FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) internal equipment restoration and associated mechanical and electrical works.
• Manage work-at-height, confined-space entry, lifting operations, temporary work and simultaneous operations.
• Coordinate with engineering specialists on chimney stack and liner restoration, structural stability and temporary support requirements.
• Verify isolation, logout/tagout, emergency response and rescue arrangements.
• Conduct contractor audits, field inspections, incident investigations and management safety reviews.
• Maintain safety-critical action registers and verify corrective-action closure.
• Integrate safety hold points into the project schedule and verify readiness before major work stages.
• Support commissioning readiness, pre-startup safety reviews and formal handover to Operations.
• Exercise stop-work authority whenever critical safety requirements are not satisfied

Necessary Skill / Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction, maintenance or power generation experience
• Minimum 7 years in progressively responsible HSE positions
• Recognized professional HSE qualifications, such as the NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent
• Strong English communication and technical reporting skills
• Ability to work effectively with international contractors, Vietnamese personnel and plant management
• Eligibility to undertake assigned safety management responsibilities under applicable Vietnamese requirements

Preferable Skill/ Experience

• Coal-fired power plant construction, maintenance or restoration
• FGD systems, flue-gas ducting and GGAH installation
• Industrial fire recovery and demolition of damaged equipment
• Chimney stack, liner, steel structure or other elevated industrial restoration projects
• Major EPC projects involving multiple simultaneous high-risk work areas
• Experience supporting commissioning and return-to-service activities
