Job Description

●     Review Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents, prepare contractual exceptions, and coordinate inputs from relevant departments.

●     Draft, review, and negotiate Charter Parties, Service Contracts, and other commercial agreements using industry-standard frameworks such as LOGIC and BIMCO.

●     Develop and manage contractual risk clauses relating to force majeure, liability limitations, pollution incidents, downtime, and termination rights.

●     Ensure contractual obligations align with the company’s insurance coverage, including P&I, Hull & Machinery (H&M), and professional liability policies.

●     Protect the company against unjustified claims from clients, subcontractors, and third parties through effective contract administration and enforcement.

●     Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex disputes and legal proceedings when required.

●     Conduct contractual risk assessments and advise management on risk mitigation strategies.

●     Monitor contract execution to ensure compliance with anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and ethical business standards.

●     Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure critical contractual obligations are clearly understood and executed.

●     Support contract implementation and provide ongoing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirement

●     Bachelor’s degree in Law.

●     Minimum 1 year of experience in EPCI contracts, geotechnical/geophysical survey projects, or offshore support vessel services.

●     Knowledge of LOGIC, BIMCO, and offshore energy contract frameworks is a plus.

●     Good understanding of industry-specific risks, including weather-related risks, mobilisation costs, and data ownership issues.

●     Strong contract negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills.

●     Ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Operations, and Finance teams.

●     Willingness to travel occasionally when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

●     ICC Contract Specialist or CICM certification.

●     Master’s degree in Energy Law or Supply Chain Management.
