Merchandising Leader (Product Development/Merchadiser)

We are currently seeking candidates for two Leadership roles: one Product Development Leader and one Merchandising Leader, with details as follows:

1. Product Development Leader

1.1. Sample Development & Project Management

• Timeline & Workload: Manage team workload to ensure sample development meets customer timelines.

• End-to-End Execution: Oversee sample development from material tracking to submission (Proto, 360 KAS SLM, Fitting, and Sealing samples).

• Cross-functional Coordination: Partner with Technical, Sample Room, Planning, Production, and Shipping teams to guarantee on-time sample delivery.

• Quality Assurance: Review samples internally, implement feedback, and secure customer approvals prior to bulk production.

• Issue Resolution: Monitor material status proactively to prevent and resolve delivery delays.

1.2. Costing & System Management

• Costing Accuracy: Prepare garment cost sheets, verify source documents, and input accurate data into the Puma system.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the Technical team to obtain accurate markers, consumption rates, and GSD data.

• Supplier & Customer Alignment: Confirm material unit prices with suppliers/customers to prevent claims or pricing discrepancies.

1.3. Order Processing & Coordination

• Order Transfer: Download and process sample orders from the Puma system for internal distribution.

• Schedule Planning: Partner with Planning and Production to adjust schedules for material-delayed samples and ensure on-time delivery.

1.4. Bulk Handover & Technical Execution

• Tech Pack Handover: Review Tech Packs, translate specifications, and lead internal kick-off meetings.

• Artwork & Testing: Develop print/embroidery artworks, follow up on strike-off approvals, and summarize fabric/trim/garment test results for bulk approval.

• Bulk Transition: Conduct handover meetings with suppliers/internal teams, update final Tech Packs, and manage material surcharges.

1.5. Reporting & Additional Duties

• Assist with assigned fabric procurement.

• Prepare monthly development summaries and reports.

• Execute additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

2. Merchandising Leader

2.1. Production & Delivery Management

• Manage production schedules to fulfill customer requirements and order specifications.

• Collaborate with Planning and Production teams for flexible, capacity-aligned manufacturing.

2.2. Cost & Material Control

• Control costs within target budgets and approve material purchase orders.

• Monitor material utilization and optimize leftover management.

2.3. Stakeholder Management & Problem Solving

• Coordinate with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to deliver excellent service.

• Manage customer requests regarding delivery schedules and resolve factory production issues promptly.

2.4. Team Leadership

• Track and drive team performance against KPIs.

• Balance workload allocation, manage project deadlines, reduce turnover, and support team career development.

1. Product Development Leader

• Education: Degree in Textile Technology, Garment, or related fields.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years in Apparel Product Development (Sportswear focus) and team management within a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of apparel fit, construction, quality, and brand standards.
  • Strong technical understanding of pattern design, marker efficiency, GSD/SAM, and material consumption.
  • Experience in costing, FOB, cost matrix, and margin analysis.
  • Familiar with material purchasing and inventory analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D digital sampling (V-Stitcher / CLO).
• Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced MS Office skills; basic knowledge of Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with Big Data analysis tools (Tableau or Power BI) is an advantage.

• 2. Merchandising Leader

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience:
  • 4–5 years in Merchandising and Planning (Apparel/Garment industry preferred).
  • Experience in middle management is a plus.
• Skills & Qualifications:
  • Professional English communication (written & spoken).
  • Strong mathematical, data analysis, and budget formulation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
