MOLDSHOP OEE STAFF

JOB PURPOSE

• Ensure accurate, timely time booking for all mold-manufacturing processes so actual labor and machine time can be used for mold costing.
• Build and maintain CNC Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tracking to make availability, performance, and quality losses visible.
• Analyze downtime, defects, and CNC utilization with the production team and follow up improvement actions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and check daily time bookings for each mold/job number, component, operation, employee or machine, and start/finish time.
• Compare booked hours with job travelers, machine logs, shift records, and actual shop-floor status; follow up missing, late, duplicate, or incorrect entries.
• Compile actual labor and machine hours by mold, component, and process; provide verified data to the costing/Finance team and management.
• Define CNC OEE data collection: planned production time, run time, downtime reason, and good/rejected quantity.
• Build and update daily/weekly CNC OEE reports, including Availability, Performance, Quality, total OEE, downtime, defect rate, and machine utilization.
• Build and manage CNC spindle records.
• Analyze recurring machine downtime, defects, and underutilization; agree actions, owners, and deadlines with CNC, CAM, Maintenance, and Quality.

• College or Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production reporting, time booking, cost-data control, CNC machining, or manufacturing performance improvement.
• Understanding of mold-shop operations and CNC machine activity, including setup, cutting, planned stops, breakdowns, waiting time, and rework.
• Ability to collect and validate labor hours, machine hours, job numbers, and operation records for mold costing.
• Good Excel skills for data checks, formulas, pivot tables, charts, and dashboard reporting; ERP/MES, machine monitoring, or Power BI experience is a plus.
• Understanding of OEE Availability, Performance, and Quality; ability to distinguish OEE from machine utilization.
