A. Overall requirements and activities:
- Understand Sonion business and market to review the project assumptions
- Understand available resources in order to allocate and utilize to projects efficiently.
- Support PMs during the process of business case build-up
- Co-ordinate with others to build new templates/ procedures to improve the investment appraisal
- Pro-actively identify issues/gaps and coordinate with PMs or other team members for proper actions, as well as lesson learned for improvements.
- Join project management training (internal/external)
- Join BC meeting & presenting (where necessary)
- Related ad-hoc tasks assigned by managers/ backup for colleagues
B. Business case review:
1. Capital Investment (PCE)
- Review the list of equipment given by EE team to make sure that buying costs are reasonable and documented (where necessary)
- Make sure that all equipment costs are not material under/overestimated.
- Make sure all cost-take-out initiatives applied in Sonion are considered in the BC
- Make sure all available resources (redundant tool/ equipment...) are taken into consideration and prioritized to re-use in the projects
2. Development cost (Hours/ Samples)
- R&D/ supporting hours consumption must be aligned with project timeline and resource arrangement.
- Sample costs (materials, operator hours…) must be managed and timely controlled with related departments (Production/QA/EE…)
- Sales of samples and fundings from customers
3. Cost Price: cooperate with cost controlling team to review ACP
- Understand bill of materials (BOM), and cost controlling aspects
- Material costs: must be aligned with strategic sourcing, purchasing, inventory management & other logistic aspects
- Direct labor cost: work with HR to review hourly rate.
- Yield & Cycle time: Review the bridge current actual to target (based on the inputs of related persons/departments (Production/QA/NPI…)
4. Indirect Costs
- Review indirect costs of replacement and/or extension relating to the project (and other projects put into overall consideration)
5. Cash Flow and Financial Indicators
- Review proper and accuracy of financial cashflow and financial indicators, aligned with all above assumptions and financial inputs
C. Review actual spending & budget:
- Support project setups (categories, posting profile…), review & advise on project bookings.
- Review any changes/updated plan related costs compared to previous versions.
