Quantity Surveyor (QS), Project & Maintenance

Responsible for controlling project costs (CAPEX), ensuring effective, transparent budget management and compliance with procedures, while optimizing cost throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare preliminary budgets based on concept/design brief
• Perform quantity take-off and develop BOQ from drawings
• Update and control cost plan throughout design stages
• Propose cost optimization (value engineering) solutions
• Prepare tender documents (BOQ, scope of work, tender package)
• Analyze and compare quotations (commercial evaluation)
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms
• Recommend contractor selection
• Monitor actual cost against approved budget
• Manage variations (VO) and cost changes
• Review contractor payment applications
• Control final account and project settlement
• Support Project Leader in overall cost control
• Work with design team on cost-efficient solutions
• Handle commercial issues with contractors.

• Graduated in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years work experience as a QS
• Experience in retail/fit-out projects is an advantage
• Can communicate in English with foreigners
• Experience in Facilities design for retail stores are a plus
• Able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Strong governance and risk management mindset.
