Job Description

  • Implement the organization's health and safety policies and procedures so that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment and the organization complies with all applicable Vietnamese laws and regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions.
  • Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical specialists and relevant authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • Recommend changes to working processes and conditions to ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment and that the organization complies with all applicable Vietnamese laws, regulations, and the organization's safety policies and standards.
  • Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and absences to identify areas of concern.
  • Educate and coordinate safety training for the organization's workforce to ensure that they understand and comply with the organization's health and safety policies and standards.
  • Coordinate the selection, training, and evaluation of designated workplace safety and first aid personnel to ensure that they understand and can perform the responsibilities of their roles.
  • Ensure that first aid supplies and resources are available in accordance with applicable Vietnamese regulations and the organization's health and safety policies.
  • Provide consultation and oversight on the site's hazardous waste management system, including but not limited to establishing training on proper labeling, handling, documentation, and overall guidance to facilitate compliance with applicable Vietnamese laws and regulations.
  • Maintain site environmental permits and ensure compliance with all reporting and permit application requirements under applicable Vietnamese environmental laws and regulations.
  • Perform gap analysis and internal audits against EHS policies and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & RBA).
  • Comply with all corporate policies and applicable Vietnamese occupational safety and health laws and regulations.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related Health/Safety Engineering experience.
  • Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training certificate for Group 2 in accordance with applicable Vietnamese regulations.
  • Knowledge of all applicable Vietnamese regulations and international standards relating to environmental protection, employees’ health and safety, and hazardous substances management.
  • Experience in analysing manufacturing processes, evaluating production machinery and chemical exposures to determine safety and environmental risks and alternative solutions.
  • Experience with people management.
  • Good written and verbal skills in English and Vietnamese.
  • Analysis, planning & conceptual thinking skills.
  • Self-initiated and able to work independently.
