Lead the observation and analysis of production processes, perform time studies, and analyse data such as OEE, productivity, downtime, and defects to identify issues, prioritise opportunities, and propose improvement solutions.
Lead or coordinate Lean, 5S, FIFO, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement activities; assess feasibility, risks, and cross-functional impacts before implementation, and follow up on results to verify effectiveness.
Ensure process changes and improvements comply with safety and quality requirements while considering downstream impacts on related processes and functions.
Develop, standardize, and improve IE documents, methods, and standards such as SOPs, work instructions, time data, productivity data, and improvement-cost information; also provide technical guidance and support the development of other IE engineers.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management or relevant background.
At least 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a manufacturing environment; hands-on experience leading improvement projects is preferred.
Proficient in Excel and able to read technical drawings are an advantage.
Practical knowledge and experience in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, time study, productivity, layout, and process improvement tools.
Strong systematic thinking with the ability to perform root-cause analysis, assess risks, and solve problems independently.
Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functionally and provide technical guidance and coaching to less-experienced engineers.
Good command of English with the ability to communicate at work and understand technical documents.
