Technical Service Engineer

Job Summary

 We are seeking a technically competent and proactive Technical Service Engineer to provide technical support in polymer materials, PVC compounding, product testing, processing applications, and customer troubleshooting. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Production, QA/QC, R&D, and customers to ensure product performance, resolve technical issues, and support continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Polymer & Product Technical Support Provide technical support on polymer materials, particularly PVC compounds, additives, and their properties. Understand product formulations, material characteristics, and their impact on processing and end-use performance. Support product qualification, technical evaluation, and improvement activities.

2. Laboratory Testing & Standards Conduct and coordinate laboratory testing, material characterization, and product performance evaluation. Understand relevant testing methods and international standards (ASTM, ISO, IEC, etc.). Analyze test results, identify abnormalities, and prepare technical reports. Ensure proper testing procedures, equipment operation, and laboratory practices.

3. Compounding & Processing Technology Understand polymer compounding processes, equipment, and operating parameters. Provide technical support for extrusion and injection molding processes. Analyze relationships between material properties, processing conditions, and finished-product quality. Support process optimization and troubleshooting.

4. Application Development & Customer Technical Service Conduct application trials and product performance evaluations. Provide technical support to customers on material selection, processing conditions, and product applications. Investigate customer complaints and recommend effective technical solutions. Coordinate with internal teams and external technical partners to resolve issues.

5. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Support product improvement, raw material qualification, and new product development. Prepare technical documentation, testing reports, and improvement recommendations. Share technical knowledge and provide training to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.

·        3–5 years of experience in polymer processing, plastic compounding, technical service, R&D, or related manufacturing industries.

·        Good knowledge of polymer properties, testing methods, and material applications. Familiarity with compounding equipment, extrusion, and injection molding processes. Knowledge of PVC compounds, cable applications, and relevant testing standards is highly preferred.

·        Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

·        Good communication, coordination, and technical presentation skills.

·        Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead technical problem-solving activities.

·        Good command of English for technical communication and reporting.
