130700 - General Accountant - Retail

RGF's Client - Japanese Company in the Retail industry - is looking for a General Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, support and guide accounting staff, ensure accurate financial records and reporting, and handle month-end/year-end closing, costing, and compliance with tax and audit requirements.
Working Location: Nha Be Commune, HCM City.
Monthly Salary: 30M ~35M VND

Responsibilities:

• Support accountants with daily accounting tasks and operations.
• Guide accounting staff in processing and recording accounting transactions properly.
• Review and verify the accuracy of accounting entries and transactions.
• Calculate and process the monthly average cost of goods sold.
• Ensure all account ending balances are accurate and consistent with detailed reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing and prepare financial statements.
• Provide accounting and financial data to the Board of Directors or relevant departments upon request.
• Clarify accounting figures and provide supporting documents/data to tax authorities and auditors when required.
• Consolidate and summarize accounting data for reconciliation or other requests from management.
• Maintain and archive accounting records and documents in compliance with regulations.

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related majors
- Language: Business-level English
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a General Accountant in the retail or FMCG industry, including:

• Experience as a Chief Accountant
• Experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), and Vietnamese tax regulations, financial reporting, and reconciliation, as well as internal control awareness.
