RGF's Client - Japanese company in medical equipment industry - is looking for Field Service Engineer (Junior) to perform installation, maintenance, and technical support for diagnostic equipment while ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Instruct and guide distributors on the installation, repair, and maintenance of company instruments.
- Accompany distributors during product demonstrations at existing and potential customer sites to promote the company and brand.
- Execute a wide range of service activities efficiently and effectively, including installation, operator training, preventive maintenance, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibration, alignment, and part replacement.
- Manage the service territory, including assigned equipment and parts inventory, to meet customer needs and contribute to service product sales and revenue goals.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and improve service outcomes by delivering speedy, high-quality service.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Provide feedback to management regarding field performance anomalies and suggest recommendations for improvement.
- Review service manual documentation for accuracy and current revision levels, and translate documents into the local language as needed.
- Maintain Device History Records and monitor modification and software upgrade status.
- Review failure trend analysis data for assigned products, identify trends, and report them to management for resolution.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending required educational classes and reviewing technical bulletins.
- Perform duties as assigned, including those outside standard guidelines.
Position Objective/Expectation
To deliver high-quality field service, maintenance, technical support, and customer advocacy for medical diagnostic equipment, directly supporting distributors and end-customers to ensure optimal instrument performance, customer satisfaction, and service revenue goals.
Necessary Skill / Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in medical technology, mechanical technology, or a related discipline.
- English - Intermediate level
- At least 1 year of experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting.
- Flexibility to travel overnight on short notice within and/or beyond defined territory or outside routine business hours to support customer needs.
- Able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 kg.
