Application Engineer (Furniture Fittings/Mechanical/Building Material)

Aim of Function
To act as the technical and specification authority for Hettich furniture fittings in Southeast Asia, empowering the sales team to seamlessly integrate hardware solutions into architectural, kitchen, and interior design projects. This role delivers expert technical guidance, precise fitting recommendations, CAD/design support, and specification documentation to guarantee flawless product selection and execution across all Hettich hardware categories (hinges, drawer systems, sliding/folding door systems, connecting fittings, and door hardware). 
Responsibilities
1. Specification & BOM Generation
Create complete furniture fittings and hardware specifications and detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) mapped directly to project drawings. 
2. Technical Review & Value Engineering
Analyze designs to optimize performance, enhance manufacturability, and deliver cost-effective alternatives through professional value engineering.
3. Project Submittal Management
Compile and submit pre-qualification documents, technical drawings, precise specifications, and installation guidelines for projects. 
4. On-Site Technical Support
Deliver hands-on technical guidance, troubleshooting, and installation support directly at project sites to ensure proper integration of Hettich solutions. 

- Formal Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design, Wood Technology, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related fields.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing software preferred.
- Job Experience: 1-2 years of experience in furniture hardware, furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, woodworking, interior fit-out, kitchen systems, or related industries. Experience interpreting technical drawings and working with project-based customers is preferred.
- Language: Fluent in Vietnamese and English. Mandarin is an advantage.
