Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and driving the General Trade channel in a Southeast Asian country, including building the distribution network, expanding market coverage, and achieving sales targets.
This role is based in Vietnam with frequent travel to countries within Southeast Asia, requiring strong field engagement with distributors, partners, and sales teams to drive business growth.
1. Market Development & Distribution Channel Expansion
Develop and expand the GT (General Trade) channel in Country.
Identify, select, and develop a network of distributors, dealers
Establish and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and suppliers.
Explore new markets and expand product coverage for Consumer Electronics across key regions.
2. Sales Management & Operations
Develop and execute sales plans by territory.
Monitor sell-in, sell-out, inventory levels, and product coverage.
Ensure achievement of sales targets and overall business performance.
3. Reporting & Market Analysis
Collect insights on market trends, competitors, and customer behavior in Country
Analyze sales data and propose solutions to improve business performance.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market activities for management.
Represent the company in working directly with partners and stakeholders in Thailand.
Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree required; field of study is flexible with strong preference for Sales, Business, or Commercial background
Vietnamese national, willing to relocate and work long-term in Country
Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager or in equivalent roles.
Preferably experienced in Consumer Electronics or related product categories.
Good command of English for daily work and communication with partners.
Strong negotiation, relationship building, and business development skills.
Proactive, flexible, and willing to work extensively in the field.
