Job Description

Our strategic partner is leading player in the Building Materials industry.

Location: Kien Giang & Ba Ria Vung Tau.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Project Director in overall strategic planning, coordination, and execution of assigned industrial expansion projects.
  • Act as a central coordination point between international EPC contractors, local consultants, and internal teams throughout all project phases from definition to dry runs.
  • Ensure full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
  • Ensure all project participants adhere to company QEOHS policies, procedures, standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Control and monitor the annual health, safety, and environmental management objectives related to the project scope.
  • Manage workplace housekeeping activities in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide appropriate instructions, information, induction, training, and supervision to ensure safe execution of work.
  • Monitor and follow up corrective actions arising from hazard reports, incident reports, or investigations.
  • Coordinate engineering activities among EPC contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop the project organization structure and define responsibilities and authorities within the project team.
  • Establish and maintain project procedures, including reporting systems and capital expenditure management tools.
  • Support the Project Director during definition, feasibility study, and tendering stages.
  • Manage local engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, and electrical activities to meet defined objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Monitor and control project resources, quality assurance and quality control, and risk management activities.
  • Oversee contract administration, including variation management and resolution of contractual discrepancies.
  • Review progress reports from engineering, construction, and administrative teams and determine corrective actions when required.
  • Serve as the main interface with local authorities, communities, media, and non-governmental organizations for permitting and legal matters.
  • Act as an arbitrator to resolve technical and non-technical disputes among internal teams and external partners.
  • Coordinate with plant management for commissioning preparation and training of operational personnel.
  • Prepare and present regular progress updates and deviation reports to the Project Director and steering bodies.

Job Requirement

  • University degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Vietnamese language capability is optional.
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools and project planning software.
  • Basic knowledge of computer-aided design software.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems and project management practices.
  • Extensive experience in managing medium to large-scale capital investment projects.
  • Strong background in industrial plant design and construction.
  • Knowledge of financial cost control and scheduling methodologies.
  • Recognized technical qualifications relevant to the role.
  • Understanding of industrial plant operations.
  • Willingness to demonstrate flexibility and international mobility based on professional and personal considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and deliver project outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing capabilities across diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to challenge existing approaches constructively.
