Assistant to Design Manager - Mold Tool

- Responsible for managing, coordinating and developing mold design activities for plastic injection molding production. Ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on schedule, meeting technical standards and customer requirements.

- Training and capacity development for mold design team; evaluating work performance and proposing development roadmap for subordinates.

- Receive, decide to repair, maintain molds; technical support for mold repair; research and propose solutions to improve mold structure, optimize molding cycle and increase mold life.

- Manage mold drawings (2D, 3D).

- Using specialized software and mechanical software to process and set up products about Plastic and Molds.

- Coordinate with customer's Mold Center to improve mold, repair mold and mold transfer issues (if any).

- Coordinate with Injection Department, QA Department, PE Department to build standards for new products, improve existing molds.

- Evaluate feasibility for manufacturing new products.

- Check, report quality, report monthly and annual targets.

- Responsible for J-Sox documents.

- Report department status and work progress to BOD.

-          Experience: Minimum 5 years in the field of injection mold design, of which at least 2 years in a management position.

-          Graduated from College/University majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering or equivalent

Professional skills:

-          Proficiency in CAD design software (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Moldflow…).

-          Deep understanding of injection mold structure, plastic materials and production processes.

Soft skills:

-          Ability to manage teams, plan and coordinate work;

-          Good communication, proactive in work, innovative thinking;

-          Good communication 4 skills in English (if candidates have Japanese knowledge is preferred)

-          Dynamic, hard-working, react quickly can adapt with work pressure.
