Bar Manager

The Deck Group is searching for a talented and experienced Bar Manager to join our team! We're looking for someone who can:

• Overseeing all business aspects, including inventory control, supplier relationships, budget management, and setting strategic goals for the bar's future.
• Possessing strong reporting skills to track performance and provide insights.
• Demonstrating excellent skills in creating classic and innovative cocktails.
• Providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Building, supporting, and training a high-performing bar team.
• Working closely with the Marketing & Events Manager to plan and execute bar events.
• Maintaining positive and effective working relationships with the restaurant team.
• Cultivating and maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

• Proactive Guest Service Mentality: A genuine passion for providing exceptional guest service and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs.
• In-Depth Wine & F&B Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in wine regions, varietals, food pairings, and beverage service. Formal wine certifications (e.g., WSET) are a plus.
• Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues at all levels. A positive and outgoing personality is essential.  
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism and resourcefulness, finding effective solutions to any issues that arise.
• Understanding of Restaurant Operations: Knowledge of restaurant dynamics, service flow, and the importance of teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a fine dining setting is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, and carry objects as needed.
