Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and attractive presentation of all drinks. The Bartender interacts directly with guests at the bar, contributing to a lively, welcoming atmosphere. They maintain bar cleanliness, manage ingredients, restock supplies, and support inventory control.

Beverage Preparation

  • Basic knowledge of Italian coffee culture and espresso drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, macchiato).
  • Prepare cocktails, mocktails, sake service, spirits, beer, and wine according to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and presentation of all drinks.
  • Create new drinks, new menu and recommend drink specials by season, special event to the Hospitality Manager
  • Conduct proper garnishing, glassware selection, and drink finishing techniques.

Guest Interaction

  • Greet & seat guests with friendly, professional hospitality.
  • Recommend drinks based on guest preferences and menu knowledge.
  • Engage guests appropriately to create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • Handle guest feedback courteously and resolve minor issues when possible.

Bar Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar always.
  • Responsible for bar ingredients: Garnishes, juices, infusions (depending on menu).
  • Responsible for Restock spirits, mixers, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
  • Handlebar tools and equipment properly and safely.
  • Responsible and record for bar equipment glassware breakage
  • Daily Ordering

Responsible: Inventory, Stock & Cost Control

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Hospitality Manager.
  • Assist with weekly or monthly inventory counts.
  • Follow FIFO stock rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Handle spirits and ingredients responsibly to protect beverage cost.
  • Comply with food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Responsible for: Clean and tidy bar area, tools, equipment, and glassware before, during, and after service.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and monitor guest intoxication levels.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Support barbacks during service and provide training when needed.
  • Work closely with servers and the kitchen for smooth service flow.
  • Participate in bar training, tastings
