Job Description

Diag is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our technical team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing medical equipment essential to delivering high-quality diagnostics and laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission medical equipment and devices in the laboratory.

  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with the lab operations and quality teams to develop and implement maintenance schedules and SOPs.

  • Ensure all equipment operations comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, MOH guidelines).

  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including service logs and inventory records.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in biomedical equipment management.

  • Train and support laboratory staff on the correct usage and care of medical devices.

  • Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new equipment as the lab expands.

  • Develop budget plans for equipment-related activities (under approval from Lab Management), ensuring the efficient and cost-optimized use of equipment and devices

Job Requirement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance, preferably in a clinical lab or hospital setting.

  • Solid understanding of biomedical engineering principles and equipment lifecycle management.

  • Hands-on experience with analyzers, centrifuges, refrigerators, pipettes, and other lab diagnostics equipment is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO standards and local healthcare regulations.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
