Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design

As a Civil Engineer, you will design and deliver of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, sewer systems, water supply, and utilities. You will do engineering calculations, ensurecompliance with technical standards to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions from concept through construction.

• Design and development of civil and urban infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, drainage networks, sewer systems, water supply pipelines, earthworks, and utilities.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations for civil infrastructure design, including: Hydraulic calculations (flow capacity, velocity, head loss, pipe sizing, culvert capacity, open channel flow)
• Hydrological analysis (runoff estimation, peak flow using rational method or similar)
• Earthworks calculations (cut & fill volumes, grading optimization)
• Road design calculations (horizontal/vertical alignment, pavement layers, load considerations)
• Sewer design calculations (flow, slope, self-cleansing velocity, pump sizing)
• Review and validate all technical calculations produced by the team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
• Design and analyse stormwater drainage systems using both manual calculations and hydraulic modelling tools (SWMM, Mike Urban, Bentley’s hydraulic calculation model, etc.).
• Design sanitary sewer systems, ensuring accurate calculation of pipe sizing, gradients, flow capacity, and invert levels.
• Prepare calculation reports and technical justifications to support design decisions and authority submissions.
• Ensure all designs are optimized through value engineering and cost-effective calculation approaches.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support tendering processes, including BOQs, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
• Monitor construction activities, and provide site support and technical solutions when required.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, and ensure quality control.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in civil/urban infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in roads, drainage, utilities, and urban development projects.
• Solid understanding of international standards, codes, and construction practices.
• Good English communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
