Responsible for managing the commercial activities of the company’s commodities business, including sales, procurement, and customer relationship management for agricultural products (e.g., sugar, rice, oil, corn).
Drives revenue growth, optimizes market presence, and ensures commercial strategies align with global commodity market trends and company objectives.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, margin, and market share targets for assigned commodities.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
3. Maintain and expand relationships with key commodity customers, suppliers, and trading partners worldwide.
4. Leading team in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure profitability and long-term relationships.
5. Monitor global commodity trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop competitive pricing strategies.
6. Lead and mentor the commercial team to enhance capability and performance.
7. Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Finance, and Risk teams to ensure smooth execution of commodity transactions.
8. Ensure commercial activities comply with risk parameters, trade regulations, and company policies.
9. Identify potential commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
10. Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer events.
