1. Job Purpose
To take full ownership of factory compliance operations, ensuring all social compliance, legal, and client requirements are effectively implemented in practice.
The role is expected to:
- independently manage all compliance matters
- ensure audit readiness at all times
- resolve compliance issues at root cause level
- support smooth factory operations without disruption
Report directly to CSR Manager
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Full Ownership of Compliance & Audit Management
- Lead and manage all social compliance activities within the factory
- Ensure factory is audit-ready at all times (announced & unannounced)
- Coordinate and handle:
- client audits
- third-party audits (BSCI, SMETA, WRAP…)
- government inspections
- Act as main contact point with auditors and clients
B. Supplier Audit & External Compliance
- Conduct supplier audits in line with BSCI requirements
- Evaluate compliance risks and gaps at supplier level
- Follow up CAP and ensure proper implementation
C. CAP Management & Issue Closure
- Take full ownership of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs):
- root cause analysis
- corrective & preventive actions
- follow-up until closure
- Ensure findings are:
- closed on time
- sustainable (no recurrence)
D. Operational Compliance & Legal Implementation
- Handle daily compliance operations related to:
- labor law
- working hours control
- wage & payroll practices
- Ensure compliance is practical and aligned with factory operations
E. System Improvement & Standardisation
- Develop, review, and standardise:
- policies & procedures related to social compliance
- working hours and overtime control
- wage calculation and documentation
- Identify risks such as:
- overtime control gaps
- inconsistency between records and reality
- Implement practical improvements, not just documentation fixes
F. Factory Collaboration & Smooth Operations
- Work closely with:
- Production team
- HR team
- Planning to ensure compliance is applied without disrupting production
- Balance compliance requirements with business needs
- Ensure factory operations run smoothly, sustainably, and in compliance
- Build and drive a strong compliance culture within the factory
G. Training & Awareness (Staff & Workers)
- Deliver training to:
- supervisors & middle management
- factory workers
- Cover:
- worker rights
- grievance mechanisms
- compliance awareness
- Ensure training is:
- practical
- understandable at shop-floor level
- effectively implemented
H. Reporting & Escalation
- Provide clear updates to CSR Manager:
- compliance status
- risks and gaps
- audit readiness
- Escalate issues with proposed solutions (not only problems)
I. Other Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager
- Ensure compliance is effectively implemented in practice, not only on paper.
