Data analysis specialist (12 months contract)

Work with internal functional departments to gather and analyse requirements, build and support BI reports on Microsoft Power BI

Gather and Analyze Business Requirements

• Collaborate with internal functional stakeholders to gather, understand business requirements, and reporting processes for BI reports.
• Understand the current state of data, metrics, and KPIs for business operations.

Consult and Design BI Reports

• Design and propose analytical views based on business metrics/KPIs aligned with functional requirements.
• Design data models to support BI reports.
• Design and organize data templates (if required) to standardize manual data inputs.

Develop and Implement Reports

• Build and develop BI reports using Microsoft Power BI/Fabric.
• Present and demonstrate BI reports, gather business feedback, and implement necessary enhancements.
• Execute unit testing for data models, business logic, and reports.

Testing and Training

• Support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Guide and train users on using the reporting system.
• Operate and maintain the data and reporting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or other related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar position.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and business stakeholder collaboration.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL programming.
• Business knowledge in areas such as Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Accounting.
• Knowledge of Python programming is an advantage.
