Data Engineer (Manufacturing Systems)

Role Purpose

- Build trusted, reusable data pipelines and semantic products that power C-Hawk's ERP intelligence, AI solutions, dashboards, and connected factories.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines across Epicor ERP, MES, QMS, planning, warehouse, finance, email, and OT sources.

- Build governed semantic models, feature datasets, document/knowledge pipelines, and APIs for Power BI, copilots, analytics, and AI.

- Implement automated data-quality checks, master-data controls, lineage, reconciliation, logging, alerting, and recovery mechanisms.

- Support secure equipment and edge-data ingestion using approved OPC UA, MQTT, database, or industrial-integration patterns.

- Test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot production data products while meeting architecture, cybersecurity, and availability requirements.

- Maintain specifications, data dictionaries, source control, CI/CD, runbooks, and clearly assigned production-support ownership.

- Year 1: Priority data products delivered and accepted; ≥98% availability; agreed quality thresholds met; 100% monitored, documented, and owned.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Software, Data, Automation, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.

- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or integration engineering, preferably supporting manufacturing operations.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, APIs, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and databases; Epicor/ERP, MES, or QMS experience preferred.

- Knowledge of cloud/on-premise platforms, semantic models, OPC UA/MQTT, cybersecurity, monitoring, and CI/CD.

- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, with the ability to support global priorities through one enterprise backlog.
