The Demand Planning & Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for leading demand forecasting and driving operational excellence across the supply chain through deep data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as a key strategic partner in evaluating end-to-end supply chain performance, identifying inefficiencies, and delivering data-driven insights that inform planning, inventory, and service strategies.
By leveraging advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and KPI monitoring, the analyst supports continuous improvement, enhances supply-demand alignment, and reduces cost-to-serve. The role collaborates closely with internal teams—such as procurement, logistics, production, and sales—as well as key customers to enable responsive, efficient, and insight-led decision-making across the supply chain.
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities/ Main task:
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret sales and inventory data to create accurate and actionable demand forecasts.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and bias; proactively investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on forecast performance, inventory status, and supply planning alignment.
- Drive cross-functional forecast consensus meetings, resolving conflicts between departments and building alignment on a unified demand plan.
Customer Order & Service Management
- Receive, process, and track customer orders, returns, and inquiries across multiple communication channels.
- Coordinate closely with production, QA, logistics, and planning teams to ensure timely delivery and order fulfillment.
- Act as the point of contact for customers by communicating key requirements and feedback to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities.
- Collect, analyze, and escalate customer feedback to recommend actionable improvements in products, processes, and service delivery, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of order status, customer communications, and service issues within the ERP system.
Operational Optimization
- Monitor inventory levels and lead replenishment planning to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Analyze supply chain performance to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or disruptions, and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Support the implementation of process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure alignment between supply and demand by coordinating with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams.
- Evaluate and refine demand planning processes, identifying opportunities for automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
Supply Chain Analytics & Insights
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on forecasts, inventory status, service performance, and key supply chain metrics.
- Leverage advanced data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from large datasets related to demand trends, inventory movements, customer orders, and supply disruptions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and performance reports (e.g., forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory value,etc.) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in sales, procurement, production, and logistics to interpret data findings, model scenarios, and align supply chain strategies with business goals.
- Utilize ERP and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, etc.) to automate reporting, streamline analysis, and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
- Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior management, contributing to planning cycles.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-backed proposals, helping optimize cost, service, and process efficiency.
- Ensure reporting and analysis adhere to internal policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
