Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and driven Deputy Head of Accounting to join our Finance & Accounting leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Accounting to oversee the full accounting function — managing the team, ensuring the integrity of financial records, leading monthly and annual closing processes, and delivering accurate, timely financial reports in compliance with Vietnamese regulations. This is a leadership role for someone who combines technical accounting depth with the ability to manage people, build systems, and communicate clearly with senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Supervise, assign, and review the daily work of accounting staff; provide coaching and on-the-job guidance to develop team capability.
  • Ensure the team meets all deadlines for payments, reporting, and statutory submissions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the accounting function when the Head of Accounting is unavailable.

Financial Reporting & Closing

  • Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process; review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
  • Analyze financial results and provide commentary for management review.
  • Consolidate financial data from subsidiary entities when required.

Tax & Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all statutory tax declarations: VAT, CIT, PIT, and others as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards, tax laws, and internal control policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities; prepare supporting documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and communicate implications to the team and management.

Cost Accounting & Financial Control

  • Oversee cost tracking for export-import operations, raw material procurement, and manufacturing activities across subsidiaries.
  • Review and approve payment documents, supplier invoices, and expense claims.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and increase accounting efficiency.

Budgeting & Planning Support

  • Assist the Head of Accounting in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget; flag significant variances and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Head of Accounting and Finance Director.
  • Communicate proactively with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Job Requirement

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field. A Chief Accountant Certificate is required or in progress.
  • At least 4–6 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
  • Strong command of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS); experience with IFRS is a plus.
  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial reports is preferred.
  • Solid experience with tax compliance (VAT, CIT, PIT) and familiarity with the audit process.
  • Experience in a trading, export, or manufacturing company is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (MISA, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities under deadline pressure.
  • Good English proficiency — able to read financial documents, prepare reports with English components, and communicate with international stakeholders when needed.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and allowances commensurate with seniority and experience
  • Free daily lunch and café access at our in-house restaurant, Rose — a comfortable and premium dining space for all staff
  • Holiday and Tet bonuses in accordance with company policy
  • Full statutory social, health, and unemployment insurance (BHXH, BHYT, BHTN)
  • 24/7 personal accident insurance
  • Premium healthcare insurance
  • Training and professional development opportunities, including support for advanced certifications
  • A dynamic, international working environment with real ownership and meaningful career progression
