Job Description

Role Description

DevOps Engineer is a mid-level hands-on platform engineering role responsible for building, operating, and improving the shared deployment, automation, cloud-runtime, and observability capabilities that support the Innovation team's Data Engineering and Application Development work. The role provides the deployment and operational engineering layer for Microsoft Fabric / Azure data workloads, ETL/ELT pipelines, Power Platform solutions, Azure integrations, APIs, and cloud automation. This role owns CI/CD enablement, Git/Azure DevOps practices, environment and release management, secure workload identities and secrets, Linux/container runtime support, deployment automation, monitoring, and cross-platform technical troubleshooting.

Main task:

  • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Power Platform, Azure Functions, APIs, scripts, and other Innovation applications.
  • Standardize build, validation, approval, deployment, rollback, and DEV/UAT/PROD promotion processes, ensuring deployments are automated, traceable, repeatable, and scalable.
  • Administer Azure DevOps and Git repositories, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, releases, and source control governance.
  • Manage and automate deployments for Fabric, ADF, notebooks, dataflows, and other data platform components, including service connections, environment configurations, runtime settings, and deployment pipelines.
  • Build and maintain Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) frameworks for Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related Power Platform solutions.
  • Deploy, configure, and support Azure infrastructure and cloud services, including Resource Groups, Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, and automation workloads using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell).
  • Implement and maintain secure identity and access management using Azure Key Vault, Service Principals, Managed Identities, Certificates, and RBAC, ensuring secure secret management and authentication.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Docker, and Linux for deployment, administration, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Support the reliability and operation of Azure Functions, APIs, OAuth2 integrations, webhooks, connectors, and other integration services, troubleshooting deployment and runtime issues.
  • Implement centralized monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards for CI/CD pipelines, applications, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), service restoration, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency.
