EHS Officer – Fire Safety & Contractor Management

1. Fire Safety Management

• Manage the factory fire protection system, including fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other firefighting equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor corrective actions to ensure all fire protection systems remain in good working condition.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, statutory inspections, and repairs with external service providers.
• Maintain fire safety documentation and records in compliance with legal requirements.

2. Contractor Safety Management

• Review contractor qualifications and verify required licenses, certificates, and insurance before work commencement.
• Conduct contractor safety induction and communicate company EHS requirements.
• Review and control work permits for high-risk activities, including hot work, work at height, electrical work, confined space work, and lifting operations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and implement corrective actions when necessary.

3. Emergency Response Management

• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including firefighting, evacuation, chemical spill, and other emergency response drills.
• Manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Support investigation of fire-related incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure emergency response equipment and resources are maintained and readily available.

4. Workplace Inspection & Compliance

• Conduct routine inspections related to fire safety and contractor activities throughout the factory.
• Identify unsafe conditions and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
• Support compliance with Vietnamese regulations, customer requirements, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Group standards.
• Prepare documentation for internal audits, customer audits, and government inspections.

5. EHS Improvement & Support

• Participate in EHS improvement projects to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
• Promote fire safety awareness through training and communication activities.
• Support cross-functional EHS initiatives and perform other EHS duties assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Fire Protection Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Fire Safety, Occupational Safety, or EHS.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese fire safety regulations and occupational safety legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to communicate in English (Chinese is an advantage).
