Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Safety, Environmental, or related), Occupational Health, or Environmental Science.
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Certifications:
- Required (Vietnamese): Certification as an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist (Chuyên gia/Cán bộ An toàn Vệ sinh Lao động) and/or specific EHS management training certificates.
- Desired (International/Local): NEBOSH, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, or other local EHS certifications are a strong plus.
- Language: Proficiency in Vietnamese (written and verbal) is mandatory for regulatory communication, training, and documentation. Strong English skills are highly desired, especially for working in a foreign-invested company (FDI).
Skills
- Vietnamese EHS Law: Expert-level knowledge of the Labour Code, Law on OSH 2015, and Law on Environmental Protection 2020 is non-negotiable.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and manage compliance issues related to pollution control (wastewater, air) and complex machine guarding.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication, training, and collaboration skills to effectively manage relationships with employees, contractors, and local government officials.
- Documentation: High attention to detail with the ability to prepare meticulous reports and regulatory dossiers required by Vietnamese authorities.
