JOB SUMMARY
Work within the Manufacturing Engineering Support team as a part of the EIT Program for Manufacturing Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by respective leaders.
Manufacturing Engineering: Process Engineering
- Analyzes situations and/or data to resolve production and/or quality related problems
- Monitors KPI metrics trend and assures continuous improvement through data management and process enhancements Monitors the Global Performance System metric trend and assures continuous improvement through data management and process enhancements
- Support plant business needs using standard process where possible and customized solutions where necessary. Collaborate with Project Engineer to determine the best approach to meet the plant and/or customer needs
- Completes DOE’s and implements SPC where necessary
- Understands 8D concepts and their use
- Perform PFMEA to determine the manufacturing risks , develop mitigation plans as necessary
Manufacturing Engineering: Equipment Engineering
- Equipment Maintenance: Develop & maintain guideline / visual aids for equipment maintenance and calibration of to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Optimization: Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades / enhancement and process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Installation & Qualification: Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, and production lines, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Qualify Equipment after installation and perform yearly qualification
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, repair histories and spare parts
- Training: Provide training and support to production staff, ME Technicians on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure all equipment and processes comply with industry standards, safety and regulatory requirements.
Manufacturing Engineering : DFM
- Design Review: Analyze PCB and PCBA designs to ensure they meet manufacturing capabilities and constraints, based on Jabil DFx Guideline
- DFM Analysis: Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis to identify potential risks and recommend improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers to resolve design and production challenges.
- Documentation: maintain site procedure and feedback for global DFM council and documentation for PCB designs.
