Job Description

Export Operations

  • Coordinate the end-to-end export process, including booking, container stuffing, transportation, documentation, and final delivery.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, warehouses, factories, customers, and other logistics stakeholders.
  • Prepare, review, and manage export documentation, including:
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Packing List
    • Bill of Lading (B/L)
    • Certificate of Origin (C/O)
    • Other shipping and trade-related documents
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely execution of export activities.
  • Handle logistics and documentation issues, including:
    • Vessel delays
    • Container roll-overs
    • B/L amendments
    • Documentation discrepancies and disputes
  • Coordinate with banks regarding international trade payment methods such as L/C, D/P, and D/A.

Import Operations

  • Manage import documentation and compliance requirements, including MSDS, COA, and other relevant documents.
  • Track inbound shipment schedules and coordinate cargo arrivals.
  • Work closely with factories and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of imported materials.

Logistics Cost Control & Optimization

  • Obtain and compare quotations from shipping lines and freight forwarders.
  • Monitor and control logistics-related expenses, including:
    • Demurrage
    • Detention
    • Storage charges
    • Documentation amendment fees
  • Identify opportunities to optimize transportation routes and logistics costs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Requirement

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Export Documentation, Export-Import Operations, or International Logistics.
  • Experience in Agriculture, Rubber, Commodities, or related export-oriented industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience handling international shipments to markets such as the United States, Europe, Russia, India, and Asia.

Technical Skills 

• Strong knowledge of:  

o Incoterms  

o Export-import procedures  

o International trade documentation  

• Experience handling shipment issues and documentation discrepancies.  

Soft Skills 

• Calm under pressure  

• Quick and accurate problem-solving  

• Proactive with high sense of responsibility  

• Willing to work overtime depending on shipment schedule  

Language 

• Good English (especially for business email communication)
