Factory Manager (Candidates from Hong Kong/China/Taiwan)

1. Job Objective

Responsible for managing and overseeing all production operations of the Knitting Factory, ensuring:

• Production is carried out according to plan, quality standards, and schedule
• Cost control, safety, and operational efficiency are maintained
• Compliance with technical, quality, occupational safety, and environmental standards

2. Key Duties & Responsibilities

2.1 Production Management & Operations

• Develop, implement, and monitor monthly/quarterly/annual production plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional departments including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, QA/QC, and Warehouse/Logistics.
• Ensure productivity, output, and production schedule meet company targets.
• Control raw material consumption and scrap/waste rates in production.

2.2 Quality Management

• Direct the implementation and maintenance of quality standards (ISO, steel industry standards).
• Control quality throughout incoming materials, production processes, and finished goods.
• Handle technical issues, quality defects, and production-related customer complaints.

2.3 Cost Control & Efficiency Management

• Prepare and control plant operating budgets.
• Optimize production costs including electricity, fuel, labor, maintenance, and consumables.
• Propose technological and process improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.

2.4 Factory Workforce Management

• Manage, train, and develop middle management and technical workers.
• Evaluate employee performance and propose rewards, disciplinary actions, and salary adjustments.
• Build a disciplined, safe, and efficient working environment.

2.5 Safety – Environment – Legal Compliance

• Take ultimate responsibility for Occupational Safety, Fire Prevention & Fighting, and Environmental Management at the plant.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations related to steel manufacturing, environment, and labor.
• Coordinate with authorities during inspections and audits.

2.6 Reporting & Cross-functional Coordination

• Provide regular reports to Management on production output, costs, quality, and risks.
• Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, and Finance departments.

3. Authority

• Make decisions regarding plant operations within delegated authority.
• Propose recruitment, transfers, rewards, and disciplinary actions for plant personnel.
• Recommend investments in machinery, technology upgrades, and process improvements.

4. Position Requirements

4.1 Education

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Garment Manufacturing, Knitting , Upper, or related fields.

4.2 Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Knitting (Fashion & Uppers) manufacturingin Vietnam.
• At least 5+ years in senior management positions (Factory Director / Deputy Factory Director level).

4.3 Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, management, and decision-making capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of Knitting (Fashion & Uppers) production processes, machinery, and manufacturing technologies.
• Strong skills in cost management, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills with senior management and government authorities.
• The candidates have to be from Hong Kong/ China/ Taiwan & can speak both Vietnamese, English and Chinese.
