Position: Factory Operations Director (Long An & Binh Thuan)

Department: Operations / Manufacturing

Reports to: Factory Director

Job Purpose

The Factory Operations Director is responsible for overseeing and optimizing overall factory operations at two key manufacturing sites of (Duc Hoa, Long An) and (Phan Thiet Industrial Zone). The role ensures operational excellence, production efficiency, quality compliance, cost control, safety, and continuous improvement in alignment with export-oriented agribusiness strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Operations Management

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations of two factories to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.

  • Translate business and factory strategies into operational plans and KPIs.

  • Ensure effective coordination between Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HSE teams.

2. Production, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including GMP, HACCP, ISO, BRC, and customer requirements for export markets.

  • Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure consistent product quality across both factories.

3. Cost Control & Operational Efficiency

  • Manage operating costs, productivity, and yield improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and implement process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Monitor operational performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.

4. Engineering, Maintenance & Assets

  • Oversee equipment performance, preventive maintenance, and asset utilization.

  • Coordinate with Engineering teams to ensure machinery reliability and minimize downtime.

  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning, factory upgrades, and expansion projects.

5. People Management & Leadership

  • Lead and develop factory management teams across both sites.

  • Build a strong operational leadership pipeline and succession planning.

  • Ensure effective manpower planning, performance management, and capability development.

  • Promote a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.

  • Drive safety culture and risk prevention across factory operations.

  • Ensure environmental compliance related to waste, water, energy, and emissions.

7. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide regular operational reports and performance updates to the Factory Director.

  • Coordinate closely with Head Office functions (Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, HR).

  • Work with customers, auditors, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Management, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in factory operations or manufacturing management.

  • Proven experience managing multi-site factory operations, preferably in food processing, agribusiness, or export-oriented manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of international food safety and quality standards for export markets.

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

  • Solid knowledge of production management, quality systems, cost control, and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Language

  • Good command of English for reporting and working with international customers and auditors.

Working Location

  • Factory – Duc Hoa, Long An

  • Binh Thuan Factory – Phan Thiet Industrial Zone (Frequent travel between two factory sites is required.)
