Fire Safety & Contractor Management Engineer

1. Fire Safety Management

• Manage the factory fire protection system, including fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, exit signs, and other firefighting equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain fire safety records in accordance with legal requirements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and statutory inspections with qualified contractors.
• Monitor the fire alarm transmission system connected to the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police.
• Review fire risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

2. Fire Brigade & Emergency Preparedness

• Manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Fire Brigade.
• Plan and organize periodic firefighting training and emergency response training.
• Coordinate evacuation drills, firefighting drills, chemical spill drills, and other emergency exercises.
• Coordinate emergency response activities during incidents.

3. Contractor Safety Management

• Evaluate contractor qualifications before work commencement.
• Verify worker competency certificates for high-risk activities.
• Conduct contractor safety induction and periodic refresher training.
• Monitor contractor compliance with company EHS requirements.
• Evaluate contractor EHS performance and implement improvement actions.

4. High-Risk Work Permit Management

• Review and issue work permits for high-risk activities, including:
  • Hot work
  • Electrical work
  • Work at height
  • Crane lifting operations
  • Confined space work (if applicable)
• Conduct on-site inspections before and during work execution.
• Ensure compliance with permit conditions and legal requirements.

5. Legal Compliance & Audit Support

• Maintain fire safety documentation and statutory records.
• Monitor updates to fire safety regulations and implement necessary changes.
• Support government inspections, customer audits, and third-party audits.
• Prepare corrective action plans and follow up on implementation.

6. EHS Support

Support other EHS activities when required, including:

• Workplace safety inspections
• Incident investigation
• Near-miss management
• Safety campaigns
• EHS training
• ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation
• Other EHS improvement projects assigned by management.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Fire Protection Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Fire Safety, Occupational Safety, or EHS.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese fire safety regulations and occupational safety legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to communicate in English (Chinese is an advantage).
