Function/Department description
The Logistics Department is responsible for managing the flow of materials and finished goods, including planning, transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and import-export operations, to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
The department coordinates closely with procurement, production, and other stakeholders to ensure materials and products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the required quantity.
The department also ensures compliance with transportation, customs, and warehouse regulations while maintaining product safety, quality, and traceability throughout the supply chain.
Purpose of the position
The Production Planning Executive is responsible for supporting production planning and scheduling to ensure smooth operations, on-time delivery, and optimal inventory levels. The role coordinates with cross-functional teams to align production capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning Support
· Support the preparation and update of daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
· Consolidate demand, inventory, and production data for planning activities.
· Assist senior planners in preparing the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
· Update planning information in ERP or planning systems
2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
· Check material availability against approved production plans.
· Monitor inventory status and identify potential material shortages.
· Follow up on material readiness with Procurement and Warehouse teams.
· Update material planning records in the planning system.
3. Production Scheduling
· Prepare production schedules based on approved production plans.
· Update production schedules in the planning system.
· Distribute approved production schedules to relevant teams.
· Maintain production scheduling records.
4. Production Execution Monitoring
· Track actual production performance against production plans and schedules.
· Monitor production progress, delays, downtime, and operational issues that may impact delivery commitments.
· Update production status reports and communicate potential risks or schedule changes to related teams.
5. Cross-functional Support
· Collect production and inventory information from relevant departments.
· Follow up on planning-related information required for daily production planning..
· Assist in gathering planning information from Production, Warehouse and Procurement teams.
6. Reporting & Compliance
· Prepare and maintain production planning reports, planning data, and system updates to support operational accuracy and efficiency.
· Follow company procedures, planning standards, and compliance requirements in daily planning activities.
· Support continuous improvement and perform other assigned tasks related to production planning and logistics coordination.
Education:
· College or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
· Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in production planning, logistics, supply chain, or other related roles.
· Strong analytical skills is and advantage.
