General Accountant cum Chief Accountant

Job Description

A. JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will act as a key team member in accounting function who will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, robust financial reporting processes and systems in adherence to Local GAAP, Group’s Accounting Standards, other local regulations (tax, banking…) and internal control requirements.

B. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

a. Monitor the day-to-day accounting records within the company, such as invoicing, and other transactions.

b. Be responsible for preparation and delivering of periodic (month-end/ year-end) financial reports/ financial statement under VAS.

c. Supervise the annual audits (internal and external)

d. Review and authorize the monthly accounts payable and receivable run

e. Maintain accounting system and enforce policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local regulation (Accounting, Tax, Banking)

f. Master of Local Accounting system and inventory costing process.

g. Prepare ad-hoc/ monthly/quarterly/yearly/annual tax declarations and reports (VAT, CIT, WHT, PIT…)

h. Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of reports.

i. Contact outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, and other accounting needs as necessary.

j. Support Head of Finance to manage the company’s budget.

k. Coordinate with and support Head of Finance to analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

l. Comply with laws, regulations and internal policies requirement.

m. Control and manage cash flow

n. Other relevant tasks as assigned by General Director/ Head of Finance.

C. AUTHORITIES:

Access to limited confidential materials under direct supervision of Group Finance Manager of HQ/ General Director

Job Requirement

D. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

a. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance.

b. Over 2 years of experience in GA position or 5 years of experience in the same management role.

c. Chief Accountant certificate is a must.

d. Superior mathematical skills; leadership skills and experience; employee management

e. Objectivity, Independent at work, sensitivity, self-motivation.

f. Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
