General Accountant (Retail & Manufacturing Sectors)

What You Will Do

As a General Accountant / Team Lead, you will be responsible for the full set of accounts, balancing equally between Retail operations (60%) and Food Production costing (40%) to ensure compliance with both internal standards and Vietnamese law.

1.  Team Supervision & Review (30%)

·         Supervise, guide, and review the daily work of 02 subordinates (Internal Accountant & Production Accountant).

·         Review daily sales turnover reports, retail cash flows and operational expenditures.

2.  Production Costing & Inventory Control (30%)

·         Oversee the product costing system and production expenses.

·         Collaborate closely with and receive direct guidance from our Production Accountant expert in Malaysia to master, implement, and optimize the cost accounting workflow.

·         Monitor raw material consumption vs. standards, analyze variances, and organize periodic inventory counts for the warehouse/production unit.

3.  Full Set of Accounts & Compliance (30%)

·         Maintain and finalize the full set of accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for both Retailing and Production sectors in compliance with VAS.

·         Coordinate with the external accounting service to ensure accurate, timely tax declarations (VAT, CIT, PIT) and legal reports to local authorities (Tax Office, DPI, DOIT).

·         Work with external auditors and handle tax finalization processes as required.

4.  Financial Advisory & Ad-hoc (10%)

·         Assist Management with budget forecasting and cost-control solutions to improve operational efficiency.

·         Identify financial risks and recommend enhancements to current working procedures.

What You Are Good At

·         Education: University degree in Finance & Accounting.

·         Experience: at least 5 years of working experience in accounting. Must have proven experience in handling a full set of accounts. Experience in Retail/ F&B, or Food Production is required. Prior exposure to manufacturing, costing, or standard costing is a solid plus.

·         Good at English is a must.

·         Strong command of Excel and accounting software. High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.

·         Knowledge of current regulations on taxation, accounting

·         Good communication and team-management skills; a supportive mindset to lead and develop junior staff.
