The General Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank statements and cash balances.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in preparing management reports and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and file tax declarations (VAT, CIT, etc.).
- Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with tax regulations.
- Support tax audits and inspections when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
Internal Control & Audit Support
- Ensure accounting records are accurate and properly documented.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support implementation of internal control procedures.
Other Duties
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Accountant or Finance Manager.
