The Retail Training & Development (RT&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, owning, and continuously improving retail training programs to enhance store team capability and business performance.
This role drives training strategy, builds scalable learning solutions, and integrates innovative approaches (including AI and digital learning tools) to elevate training effectiveness and learner engagement across the store network.
Training Strategy & Program Ownership
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) based on business priorities and store performance gaps
- Design and develop training programs focused on retail capability (selling skills, product, operations, leadership)
- Own and continuously improve training frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability across brands
Retail Capability Development
- Build structured learning journeys aligned with store roles (Sales Associate → Supervisor → Store Manager)
- Develop capability frameworks to support performance improvement at store level
- Ensure training programs directly impact store KPIs (sales, service, operations)
Training Effectiveness & Performance Impact
- Define and implement training evaluation frameworks (knowledge, behavior, business impact)
- Analyze training data and store performance metrics to identify gaps
- Drive action plans to improve training effectiveness and ROI
Learning Innovation & AI Application
- Explore and apply innovative learning methods (microlearning, blended learning, scenario-based learning)
- Integrate AI tools into training design, content creation, and learner engagement
- Continuously improve learning experience through digitalization and new technologies
Learning Roadmap & Development Programs
- Develop and manage training roadmap by role and level
- Design development programs for key positions (Supervisor, Store Manager, high-potential staff)
- Support leadership capability building within store teams
Stakeholder Management & Project Leadership
- Partner with Brand, Retail Operations, and HR teams to align training priorities
- Lead or co-lead key training initiatives and projects
- Manage external vendors and training partners when required
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Own training reporting and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Recommend improvements based on data, feedback, and business needs
- Continuously enhance training systems, processes, and methodologies
