Job Purpose
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading all financial activities of the retail business, ensuring strong control over P&L, cash flow, costs, and profitability. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Team, supporting store performance optimization, expansion decisions, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Control
- Own and manage company-wide and store-level P&L.
- Monitor and control operating costs (COGS, OPEX, payroll, rental, utilities).
- Analyze gross margin and net margin by product, store, and sales channel.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Track actual vs. budget performance and provide corrective recommendations.
- Evaluate financial effectiveness of promotions, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for daily retail operations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels.
- Work with banks and financial partners on funding or cash optimization when required.
4. Store Performance & Expansion Support
- Develop financial KPIs to assess store-level profitability.
- Conduct financial analysis for new store openings, relocations, and closures.
- Evaluate ROI for expansion projects, CAPEX, and system investments.
5. Accounting, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant authorities.
- Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to fit a retail operating model.
6. Team Leadership & Business Partnering
- Lead, develop, and manage the Finance & Accounting team.
