Job Description

JOB PURPOSES

The Senior HR Data Analyst is responsible for transforming HR data into actionable insights, reports, and dashboards that support HR and business decision-making. The role ensures data integrity, conducts workforce analytics, identifies trends and improvement opportunities, and enhances HR reporting processes and systems. Additionally, the position supports HR Business Partner initiatives and strategic HR projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Build and Maintain Integrated HR Databases 

  • Consolidate data from multiple HR sources (e.g., HRIS, payroll, and employee master data) into standardized structured datasets for analysis and reporting. 

  • Define and maintain data structures, mapping rules, performance indicator, transformation logic, and metric definitions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and comparability across HR data outputs. 

  • Partner with other HR functions and Business Intelligence Analytics and Data teams to align implementation/deliverable method. 

  • Provide technical training to increase HR capabilities in data analytics and data-driven decision-making culture. 

2. Data Analysis & Reporting 

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends in workforce metrics, correlations and insights related to talents, recruitment, turnover, diversity, development, performance, compensation, headcount management, cost vs actual, etc. 

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support people’s decision-making. 

  • Work with HR stakeholders to provide analysis on workforce data as above. 

3. Develop, Evaluate HR Dashboards and Generate Workforce Insights  

  • Design, develop, and maintain HR dashboards, recurring reports, and ad-hoc analytical outputs that provide clear visibility into key workforce metrics, trends, and business-relevant insights. 

  • Improve dashboard usability by simplifying complex data into clear views, highlighting key trends and exceptions, and reducing manual steps in dashboard preparation. 

  • Develop and improve self-service reporting solutions that enable HR stakeholders and leaders to navigate dashboards independently, interpret key metrics, and reduce manual reporting support. 

  • Review current HR reporting workflows to identify inefficiencies, repetitive manual activities, control gaps, or opportunities for standardization and automation. 

4. Total Rewards Operational  

  • Support Total Rewards Manager to oversee annual compensation cycles (merit review, bonus programs, and incentive schemes) 

  • Budget & Cost Control: Plan, monitor people’s costs to meet budget targets  

  • Oversee the outsourced HR Operations teams responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, claims, vendor payments, employment documentation, contract renewals, personal data updates, SHUI/PIT processing, statutory reports, and audit support. 

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with HRBP, Finance & Business Leaders to deliver effective rewards solutions. 

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries related to HR agenda. 

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field is required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years plus of experience in similar roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL; familiarity with Python, VBA, Data Lake, Data Mart
  • Advanced skills of operation management, stakeholder management, project management, problem solving and decision making
  • Good understanding of HR metrics, workforce analytics, and HR data management.
  • High attention to detail, growth mindset, and collaborative working style.
  • Good English communication
