Job Description

Job Summary

The Industrial Engineer – Bedding is responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving manufacturing processes across coil production, mattress assembly, and sewing/quilting operations. This role focuses on process flow and layout design, standard time definition, routing coordination, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective bedding production.

Key Responsibilities Process Flow & Layout Design

• Design and document process flows for coil making, mattress assembly, and quilting/sewing operations.

• Develop and optimize workstation and line layouts to improve space utilization, ergonomics, and throughput.

• Collaborate with production and facilities teams to implement layout changes and monitor performance.

Process Optimization

• Conduct time studies and implement cycle time reduction strategies across bedding operations.

• Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks through data analysis and continuous improvement.

Routing Coordination

• Define routing formula when have new processes and machines.

• Review routing to maintain accuracy.

New Model Preparation

• Plan and prepare equipment, tooling, and process documentation for new mattress models

• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and readiness for launch.

Tooling & Equipment Support

• Ensure equipment setup supports consistent quality and operator safety.

Automation & Technology Projects

• Support and coordinate automation initiatives in coil making, sewing, and assembly areas.

• Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate, implement, and sustain automation solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives

• Analyze performance data and drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase efficiency.

Job Requirement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechnical engineering, Industrial Engineering or manufacturing related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in textile and bedding, with exposure to coil making, quilting, sewing, and mattresses assembly.

• Strong experience in process flow design, layout planning, and time studies.

• Familiarity with ERP systems for routing maintenance.

• Exposure to automation technologies and project coordination.

• Proficiency in IE tools and AutoCAD.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
