Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Analyze production systems, identify constraints, and implement Lean solutions to optimize layout, manpower, material flow, capacity, and production costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and optimize production floor layouts, material flow, workstations, shelves, trolleys, boxes, and bins to support efficient production flow.
  • Conduct time studies and establish/validate standard time for production processes.
  • Perform line balancing and manpower analysis to optimize labor utilization and production capacity.
  • Define and maintain appropriate WIP standards and line supply plans for each production process.
  • Apply IE and Lean Manufacturing techniques to eliminate waste, improve productivity, and achieve annual Lean targets.
  • Analyze overall production capacity, workload, utilization, and resource requirements.
  • Identify production bottlenecks/constraints and develop improvement plans to maximize throughput.
  • Evaluate manpower, equipment, process, and space requirements to support production planning and capacity expansion.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve productivity with an optimum level of resources.
  • Identify gaps between standard and actual performance and investigate the root causes.
  • Update approved standard times and related IE data in the ERP system for production reporting, planning, and future cost estimation.
  • Identify and eliminate waste, unnecessary movement, waiting time, excess WIP, and process inefficiencies.
  • Support continuous improvement activities using appropriate IE/Lean tools and data analysis.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial engineering, MBA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years experience as Industrial engineer in manufacturing, preferably in garment / textile industries.
  • Awareness of ISO/TS 16949, GMP, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 5S, statistical techniques for I.E., OEE, Capacity Analysis, TPM, ERP, POKAYOKE, 6Sigma, certified internal auditor is a plus.
  • Logical thinking, systematic problem solving, decision skill, communication skill, assertive and process oriented.
  • Experience with ERP systems and standard-time management is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Good English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
