Ingredient Lab Manager

Job Description

• Ensure the Laboratory runs smoothly, maintaining equipments, lab consumables, materials and safety protocol/ Lab Safety Procedures
• Personnel management: Supervise Lab staff (including technologist, sampling executive), provide training and coordinates work schedules
• Budget Management: Allocate and utilize funds effectively for lab activities and project needs, including the management of inventory and procurement (laboratoty consumables, materials).
• Collaboration and communication: Work with internal teams, supplier and customer (RD’s customer if need)
• Data management and reporting: Maintain records of lab activities (sampling, testing, and prototypes – formulations), generate report and analyze Lab performance to HOD

1. Sampling and Raw material promotion:

• Collaborate with sales team, develop strategic plans for promoting new raw materials to customers
• Provide technical support and advice to Sales team in identifying suitable raw materials for promotion.

2. Technicial service & Application

• Collaborate with the Sales team to initiate and execute new projects for product development with customers.
• Design and optimize processing methods and recipes for demo-kit samples to support raw material promotion.
• Plan and oversee the preparation of demo-kit sample for sales team to customers
• Organize and coordinate techinical training sessions, seminars, and internal workshops in collaboration with suppliers for customers and sale teams.
• Lead innovative activities to introduce new ingredients and market trends to customers
• Provide technical support and solutions for customer complaints in coordination with the Sales team.
• Work closely with the sales team and suppliers to deliver effective solutions to customers through direct visits and technical consultations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the supplier list in collaboration with the sales team

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Life Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical working experience managing a lab in the ingredient trading companies for more than 01 year (must), with at least 5 years of experience as an R&D Lab application in the food industry (experience in dairy, beverages, confectionery is preferred).
• English skills: good in communication and writing
• Discipline, perseverance, open mind, creativity and sharing

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive fixed salary.
• Lunch allowance: 50,000 VND/day from Monday to Friday (lunch at the company).
• Parking allowance: 300,000 VND/month.
• 13th-month salary bonus.
• Year-end performance bonus: 1 – 2 months’ salary (based on performance evaluation).
• Full salary during 60-day probation period.
