Job Description

Job Summary:   

Innovation & Application Technical Manager is responsible for leading a technical team to complete customers projects, develop technical solutions and innovative concepts, evaluate ingredients, conduct trials and analysis, maintain technical information and provide samples and prototypes. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Has the ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians and technologists.   
  2. Manages and be responsible to ensure high quality laboratory projects, study and analysis are completed on time.
  3. Provides technical information and solutions to customers as well as Brenntag’s commercial team members.
  4. Has the ability to provide solutions to resolve customer’s technical problems or issues.
  5. Knowledgeable about Brenntag’s product portfolio.
  6. Has the ability to select the right products for customers as well as Brenntag’s commercial team members.
  7. Provides support to Business Manager in developing local blends and formulations.
  8. Proactive in developing new concepts or prototypes and present it to Brenntag’s commercial team members or customers especially during Innovation Days or Tradeshows.
  9. Has the ability to connect and work directly with suppliers.
  10. Has the ability to connect and work directly with customers.
  11. Expected to visit customers together with commercial team members.
  12. Maintain close communication with Brenntag’s technical teams located in Asia Pacific, outside of Vietnam.
  13. Expected to share success stories and technical knowledge with Brenntag’s technical teams located in Asia Pacific, outside of Vietnam.
  14. Expected to manage VAS system and able to extract data from VAS system.
  15. Manages and controls safety measurement of the laboratory and sample room.
  16. Participates in Safety, Health and Environment Committee.

Job Requirement

Education         :                 Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Chemistry           

Experience         :                 At least 10 years in similar function

Age                          :                 Above 35 years old

Others                   :   Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Good leadership and communication skill

Accustomed to working in an international environment

Independent yet can be an excellent team player

Enthusiastic, service minded and goal oriented

Ability to operate PC
