Position Summary: The Junior HSE Officer will work closely with the HSE Manager to execute, monitor, and improve health, safety, and environmental standards at the Green Coffee plant and shared complex infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on professional who can independently drive on-site safety compliance, handle regulatory paperwork, and engage with shopfloor employees daily.
Key Responsibilities:
• On-site Supervision: Conduct daily site safety walks to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions across the Process and Warehouse areas.
• Contractor Safety Management: Directly monitor contractor activities on-site, verify Permits to Work (PTW), and ensure strict compliance with ofi’s Contractor Safety Guidebook.
• Legal & Statutory Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic HSE reports to local government authorities in compliance with Vietnam’s OSH, Fire Safety, and Environmental laws.
• Equipment Inspection: Coordinate with relevant departments to list, track, and arrange mandatory safety testing and inspections for strict-requirement equipment (such as: forklifts, air compressors, pressure vessels,..).
• Emergency Preparedness: Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to organize regular fire fighting (PCCC) practices and emergency response drills for the plant.
• HSE Master Plan Support: Support the HSE Manager in planning, implementing, and tracking the annual HSE Master Plan and plant CAPEX safety projects.
• Employee Engagement: Administer the monthly Near-Miss reporting program, collect safety reports, and coordinate the daily Safety Broadcast channel.
• Training & Development: Assist in organizing mandatory OSH training programs (Groups 1-6), maintain training records, and manage employee safety tests.
• HSE Visuals: Assist in updating and maintaining the Safety Dashboards at the shopfloor.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environment, or related technical fields.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Vietnam OSH legal requirements, fire safety (PCCC), and machinery safety regulations.
• Soft Skills: Active, assertive, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with both workers and plant managers.
• Language: Basic English proficiency for reporting and using internal software tools.
