AP Accountant (Accounts Payable)

Salary: VND 12,000,000 – 20,000,000/month (Based on experience)

Location: An Phú Ward, Dictrict 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Your Role

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will ensure supplier payments are accurate, timely and well-controlled while supporting efficient financial operations across the company.

You will report directly to the Chief Accountant and collaborate closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Import-Export and Management teams.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable Management

  • Verify payment documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Record expenses and accounts payable transactions accurately.
  • Reconcile supplier balances on a regular basis.
  • Monitor employee advances and settlements.
  • Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.

Payment Operations

  • Prepare payment requests according to the payment schedule.
  • Monitor internal approval workflow.
  • Process domestic and international bank payments.
  • Ensure all payments are made accurately and on time.

International Payment & Import Support

  • Review payment documents for overseas suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics teams on import documentation.
  • Support foreign currency payments and exchange rate monitoring.
  • Handle commercial documents such as Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading and Certificate of Origin.

Reporting & Cash Flow Support

  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Monitor bank account balances.
  • Prepare periodic AP reports.
  • Support short-term cash flow planning.
  • Provide timely financial information to management.

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

By the end of your first six months, you will:

  • Process supplier payments accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain reliable and up-to-date accounts payable records.
  • Complete monthly supplier reconciliations.
  • Confidently support international payment transactions.
  • Deliver timely AP reports that help management make better financial decisions.

Job Requirement

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in one of the following:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Payment Accounting
    • General Accounting
  • Good understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and VAT regulations.
  • High attention to detail, integrity and responsibility.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience with international payments.
  • Import accounting experience.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers.
  • SAP Business One or other ERP systems.
  • Ability to read commercial documents in English.
  • Experience in trading, import, distribution or B2B companies.
